Using Images In Ebay Auction Listings
By FreeFotoFile.com
Think back to all the online purchases you've ever made. How many items have you bought purely off a text-only description? Chances are, not many. As the website puts it:

"Take Photos
The saying that 'a picture is worth a thousand words' really applies to listings. No matter how well you describe your item, most buyers want to see a picture before they purchase. So before you sit down at the computer to list your item, the first step should be to take great photos and then transfer them onto your computer. With Picture Services it's easy to add photos during the listing process."

How do you incorporate pictures into a listing? Here are some quick instructions, again, from itself:

"To add photos with Picture Services, click in a box to select a picture (see Enhanced service below) or click on the 'browse' button and navigate to the folder on your computer containing your photos. (see Basic service below). A window will then open showing a directory of your computer. Find the location in which you saved the photo and select the one you would like to add. We recommend using the Enhanced version of Picture Services because it allows you to preview your photos, crop or rotate them, and is much faster than the Basic service. In order to use the Enhanced version, you will

be prompted to install software on your computer.
If you would like to add additional photos to your listing, just click another box or browse button again. The first picture is free, and each additional picture is .15 cents.

If on the other hand you plan to use your own image hosting service, click on the 'Your Own Web Hosting' tab.

Once you have selected a photo hosting service, your photo image files can be added to your listing."

Notice however that there is a charge of 15 cents, per additional picture! Not only that, "Your photos are stored on eBay's Picture Services only while your listing is available on eBay."

Seller should take advantage of free image hosting services, such as FreeFotoFile.com, to upload and store additional images for free. Not only will you save $0.15 per picture, your images are stored as long as you want in your account so that you can avoid the hassle of constantly uploading pictures for future auctions.
